My daily dose of goodness

I stumble across wild together by chance, thanks to a fried of mine who gave me a resting set as a present. And I fell in love with it. Especially the moisturiser was so good to make my expression lines smooth during the night. Ever since, I only been using them. I wish they could develop additional products like body balm or eye creams

Making a big difference!

Keeps my skin hydrated and happy, layers well over the essence and the moisturiser and I really love the smell.

I'm currently on medication and I still get some dry and peeling patches but this works really well. It doesn't irritate or break me out at all.

Actives

Marine Algae
An extraction of cylindrotheca fusiformis [an oceanic marine algae] that in tests has demonstrated the capacity to stimulate cellular proliferation, significantly increasing collagen synthesis by 19.3% using a 2% concentration in only 24 hours compared to an untreated control sample. As a powerful anti-aging ingredient, the algae extract helps to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles – especially around the eyes. As a powerful antioxidant, it protects the dermal matrix from further degradation, strengthens skin and offers some protection from UVB rays. It is especially rich in omega 3 and sterols that are soothing and anti-inflammatory for irritated and damaged skin. It plays an important role in the skin’s barrier function due to its repairing properties. Some clinics are even using Marine Algae in preparation for surgery, as it helps the skin recover post operatively, and beauty clinics are using it to restore the skin after deep peels and laser resurfacing.

Splianthes Acmella
Spilanthes is a South African plant grown by local farmers that is proven to restructure, firm and smooth the skin. It has an instantly noticeable effect as it strengthens the collagen matrix and increases the density and elasticity of the skin. Like botox – the extract acts directly and rapidly on the fibroblasts and collagen fibers present in our skin by using their innate ability to move and contract. When applied to the skin, Spilanthes relaxes these fibers and irons them out. When our fibroblasts are stimulated with spilanthol – one of the myorelaxing active components present in Spilanthes – the fibroblasts in our skin tighten which in turn pulls on the collagen fibers flattening and firming the skin and visibly reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Tocopherol
Also known as Vitamin E, Tocopherol is a powerful antioxidant that protects skin cells from ultraviolet light, pollution and other elements that contribute to free radicals known to dismantle collagen and elastin – key contributors in the signs of ageing. One of the most important benefits of Vitamin E its role in the prevention of skin cancer, as it protects the epidermal layer of the skin from early stages of ultraviolet light damage, while also providing some benefit in preventing and treating sunburn.

Botanicals

Tsubaki Oil
Japanese Tsubaki [Camellia] oil is cold-pressed from wild camellia seeds and is a rich source of palmitic, omega-3, omega-6 [linoleic fatty acids] and 9, as well as numerous anti-aging polyphenol antioxidants, Vitamins A, B and E, along with phosphorus, calcium, iron, manganese and magnesium.

Amaranth CO2
An excellent nourishing oil extract that contains high concentrations of squalene and phytosterols that are extremely useful for treating dry, damaged and sensitive skin and hair as well as for improving skin elasticity and skin and hair texture. Amaranthus is almost the only plant showing a high concentration of squalene. In addition, the high amount of tocopherols, tocotrienols and linoleic acids contribute to restore smoothness and moisture to skin.

Sea Buckthorn [CO2]
A CO2 extract from the whole berries of the deciduous tree, this adaptogen easily penetrates through the epidermis to  removes excess toxins and to improve blood circulation and skin oxygenation. With close to 200 properties, Sea Buckthorn has 6 different fat soluble vitamins, 22 fatty acids, 42 kinds of lipids and 36 kinds of flavonoids, and is the richest natural source of Vitamin A [beta carotene] and omega-7. This abundance of rich ingredients makes it highly protective against harmful radiation [solar or X-rays] with a regenerative and anti-ageing effects.

Starflower
The star-shaped purple flower has given rise to its name ‘Starflower oil’ [or Borage]. The oil is rich in essential fatty acids and is well known for being the richest commercial plant source of GLA – an Omega-6 fatty acid which helps to combat dryness, loss of suppleness and wrinkling. GLA is needed by the body to make prostaglandins which are an essential part of the repair and maintenance action of the body. With good levels of GLA, the skin is more tolerant to sunlight on a daily basis and can heal quicker. The oil rich seed is harvested with local farmers here in the UK, cold-pressed and extracted using traditional techniques.

Plum Kernel
Cold-pressed, unrefined and virgin – our Plum Kernel oil is an anti-aging, multi-purpose oil that balances, restores and refreshes the skin. It is naturally abundant in essential antioxidants, omega fatty acids 6 & 9 and polyphenols, all of which help protect the skin from damaging free radicals. It is 8x more powerful than argan oil and 6x more powerful than marula oil in protecting the skin from damaging free radicals. It’s also rich in pro-vitamin A and E to assist with healing and hydration.

Perilla
Cold-pressed from the seed of the Perilla plant, Perilla has one of the highest amounts of Omega-3 [alpha-linolenic acid] found in any plant oil. This means it is a natural emollient that can help both skin and hair to retain moisture. It is especially good for sensitive skin as it can reduce transepidermal water Loss [TEWL] and also has soothing, calming, anti-allergenic and antioxidant properties. The relatively high omega-6 [linoleic acid] helps to inhibit the growth of acne-causing bacteria found naturally on the skin. It is rich in flavones and polyphenols such as rosmarinic acid – natural antioxidant compounds helpful in preventing free-radical damage.

Moringa
A cold-pressed oil extracted in South America, Moringa contains in excess of 70% natural oleic acid and a unique combination of fatty acids that are integral to the formation and maintenance of cell membranes within the stratum corneum [the layer of the skin that provides a barrier to the environment and regulates permeability]. These fatty acids have lubricant, emollient, and anti-inflammatory properties, which help to restore the natural oils of the skin and protect the skin from environmental damage. Moringa oil is rich in many skin-nourishing vitamins such as Vitamins A, C, and E. These vitamins help to improve the elasticity of the skin, reduce the number of fine lines and wrinkles, and fight inflammation. Vitamin C is especially useful in helping to repair damaged skin cells.

Vetiver Root
Vetiver is a perennial bunchgrass of the Poaceae family native to India. Vetiver oil is distilled from the plant’s roots and contains over 100 components. It is proven to have prolific antioxidant properties – especially when compared to standard antioxidants such as butylated hydroxytoluene and alpha-tocopherol – and scavenges toxins and free radicals known to disrupt skin function and that contribute to the signs of aging. Vetiver oil is also a cicatrisant, meaning it removes dark spots, signs of acne and scars by promoting the regeneration of skin tissue.

The Sanitiser
Active + Botanical Benefits
Actives

Ethanol
Ethanol is a proven aid to preventing transmission of infectious agents and widely accepted as one of the most important infection control measures to prevent infectious disease transmission. The antimicrobial activity of ethanol can be attributed to its ability to denature and coagulate proteins. The microorganism’s cells are then lysed, and their cellular metabolism is disrupted. The activity is broad and immediate. Ethanol [the most common alcohol sanitising ingredient], appears to be the most effective against viruses.

D-Panthenol
D-Panthenol is the provitamin—a precursor, or substance that the body can convert into a specific vitamin—for B5. When panthenol is applied topically, it’s quickly converted into vitamin B5, also known as pantothenic acid. B5 binds to and holds water effectively, moisturising the skin and helping it maintain softness and elasticity. Panthenol has also been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect and to boost skin barrier function.

Botanicals

Vegetable Glyerin
Glycerin is hygroscopic — meaning it can draw moisture from the air around us and help keep that moisture in skin, thus minimising trans epidermal water loss [due to evaporation]. Research has shown that glycerin mimics what’s known as skin’s natural moisturizing factor (NMF), which is why it’s compatible with all skin types, of all ages. Replenishing skin’s NMF is important because it becomes depleted as we age, are subject to environmental exposure, and use irritating ingredients.

Sandalwood
Sandalwood is very mild but still has a powerful effect on the skin. Due to its antiseptic properties it prevents rashes, heals itching and inflammation, cools and soothes skin and moisturises and tones the skin with mild astringent action. In aromatherapy, inhaling the aroma of sandalwood oil or absorbing it through the skin is thought to transmit messages to parts of the brain involved in controlling emotions, known as the limbic system. These messages are believed to affect both an emotional and physiological response.

Carrot Seed
The benefits of carrot seed oil include antifungal and antibacterial qualities, due to the bioflavonoids it contains. Rich in vitamins A, C, B1, B2 and various essential fatty acids, carrot seed is incredibly skin-repairing to dry and damaged skin. It also contains a large amount of vitamin E, which is great for adding and retaining moisture in the skin.

Patchouli Oil
Patchouli oil, which contains several mono- and sesquiterpenoids, alkaloids, and flavonoids, is thought to possess significant anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities. In fact, it is reputed to impart antiviral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic effects, and is also known to protect the skin barrier function. Studies have found that patchouli oil exerts significant antibacterial activity against staphylococcus bacteria. Patchouli is commonly used in aromatherapy for its ability to calm depression. It encourages the release of serotonin and dopamine; two hormones which ease feelings of anger and anxiety.

Lavender
Along with the other benefits commonly found in botanical ingredients [anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial], lavender is unique in its proven ability to boost blood circulation. This enables more brightening oxygen and nutrients to reach the skin’s surface. It can also protect and promote the skin’s natural barrier, plus balance its pH levels. Aromatically, this oil, rich in esters and alcohols, is useful for when fighting depression as well as anxiety and stress, helping to relax the mind, proving to be interesting in its application at a time of increased tension.

Clove Bud
Clove owes its medicinal benefits to its antimicrobial, anti-fungal, antiviral and stimulating properties, and is one of the richest sources of antioxidants. Clove oil contains a chemical called eugenol that acts as an antiseptic and antibacterial agent. With the help of these properties it can treat cuts and wounds and fight against fungal infections. Clove bud essential oil is used in aromatherapy to stimulate circulation and arousal of the mind and body allowing you to achieve mental clarity.

Bergamot
Thanks to its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, bergamot is a natural cleanser. It can help to tone the skin, soothe skin irritation, and heal cuts and scars. Bergamot is also rich in polyphenols that have strong antioxidant effects to help protect the skin from free radical damage. Aromatically, bergamot is one of the best oils to support the central nervous system — it’s known to be calming to the spirit.
